We discovered a derelict house dating back to 1345 in Rhodes’ Medieval Town and transformed it into a hotel. During its restoration, we fell deeply in love with the building, its history, and the people who once lived within its walls. Guests are welcomed as they would have been in times past: cared for and about, as if visiting
our own home. Friendships are often formed here. More than a hotel, Kókkini Porta Rossa offers a boutique experience — a design delight where

Perfectly situated within the walls of the Medieval Town, this proudly restored 14th-century knight’s residence, with its antiques, artefacts, and carpets, is a luxurious sensation. Six beautifully appointed, spacious suites reflect a passion for comfort, décor, and refinement.
Every detail has been carefully considered — from the captivating artworks and colourful courtyards to the gleaming silverware and dramatic bathrooms — all belonging to a class far above the ordinary. Each morning, a multi-course breakfast of regional delicacies delights even the most discerning palate. Lovingly prepared and beautifully presented in our shady courtyard, each dish tells a story — a culinary journey through the Eastern Mediterranean and the Orient.
As evening falls, the garden takes on a warm, inviting glow. If the mood is right, Paris may share some of his impromptu piano moments. Complimentary wines and drinks are served while guests exchange the day’s highlights and restaurant suggestions for the night ahead.
