Far away from the tourist centers of the Cyclades islands and the hustle and bustle of Athens lies the simple and idyllic north of Greece, consisting of endless sandy beaches, crystal clear water, rugged plains, huge mountain formations and untouched nature. In the early 1990s we built a small second home here, between Thessaloníki and Kavála. This is where our desire and our passion grew to enable travelers from all over the world to experience an unforgettable holiday. And so the planning for the IONISO Boutique Hotel began, which should not only be a home for our guests, but also to become one with the tradition and soul of Greece. That’s why we prioritized sustainability, closeness to nature and authenticity right from the start. By installing solar power systems, energy-efficient heat pumps and a biological sewage treatment plant, we are able to operate the IONISO almost completely emission-free.

We have designed our IONISO so that it is not a block in the landscape, but a part of it. For this we have deliberately included the architecture and traditional features of the old town of Vrasná. The idea of closeness to nature is also reflected in the planting of our property. You can discover the flora of the entire Mediterranean area along the walkways.
